Privacy Policy

Organo helps a parent keep track of their children's week. That means it handles information about children, so this policy is specific about exactly what happens to it. Organo is made by Code Bracket Pty Ltd ("we", "us").

  • Your children's details, events, lists, tasks and everything you have told the app are stored on your phone. We do not have a copy.
  • When you add something, the sentence is sent to our server with your children's first names, ages and school years and the names of your lists and weekly rules. It is interpreted by an AI service and not stored by us.
  • There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
  • We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics services. Activity counts stay on your phone.
  • You can delete everything from inside the app at any time.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter is stored in the app on your device: your children's names, ages, school years, schools and other details, the facts the app has learned (such as allergies or sizes), events, weekly rules, lists, tasks, and the history of what you have typed or said. Screenshots and photos you share are read on your phone using Apple's on-device text recognition; the images themselves are never uploaded.

The app also counts simple activity, such as how many times it was opened and how many list items were added. These counts stay on your phone. You can see them under Settings → Your activity.

Sharing with another parent

If you choose to share your household with another parent, the shared information is synced through Apple's iCloud, between your iCloud account and theirs. It does not pass through our servers and we cannot see it. Apple's own privacy policy applies to iCloud.

What is sent when you add something

Turning a sentence like "Kiki's party is Saturday at 2" into events and reminders needs an AI model, which runs on a server. Each time you add something, the app sends:

WhatWhy
The sentence you typed or said (as text)It is the thing being interpreted.
Each child's first nameSo "Sara has swimming" attaches to the right child.
Each child's age in whole years and school yearSo a reminder suits a six-year-old rather than a fifteen-year-old.
The names of your lists and weekly rulesSo "add milk to the shopping" finds the list you already have.
Your time zone, language and the date you are looking atSo "Friday" and "tomorrow" mean the right day.
If the app asked you a follow-up question, your earlier answer in that exchangeSo the answer is understood in context.

Nothing else about a child is sent: not their surname, date of birth, school, teacher, allergies, or any other fact you have saved. Voice is turned into text on your phone; audio is not uploaded.

Who interprets it

Our server passes the information above to an AI provider and returns the result to your phone. We use OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.), and xAI (X.AI LLC, the maker of Grok) as a backup if OpenAI is unavailable. Both are used through their paid business APIs, with data sharing for model training switched off, so they do not train their models on what we send. Each provider may keep requests for a limited period, typically up to 30 days, solely to detect abuse, and then deletes them. These providers process data in the United States and other countries.

We do not write your sentences, your children's names or the results to any database. Our server logs record that a request happened and whether it succeeded, never what it said. Logs are deleted after 30 days.

What our server keeps

The app signs in anonymously using Firebase Authentication (Google), which gives your install a random identifier. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or Apple ID. Against that identifier we keep:

WhatWhyHow long
A daily count of how many things you addedTo apply the daily limit and stop abuse30 days, or until you delete your data
A random install identifierSo the daily limit is not reset by reinstallingUntil you delete your data
Your subscription status: which plan, when it renews, and Apple's transaction referenceTo unlock the subscription and its higher limitsUntil you delete your data
A push notification token and your time zoneTo refresh your reminders in the background at the right local timeUntil you turn notifications off, delete your data, or the token expires

None of these contains anything about a child. Our server runs on Amazon Web Services in Sydney, and these records are stored in Google Firebase.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends a crash report through Firebase Crashlytics (Google): the device model, iOS version, app version, the technical details of the crash, and a random installation identifier. Crash reports never include what you have entered in the app. We use them only to fix bugs.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details or Apple ID. The app sends us Apple's signed record of the purchase so our server can confirm it is genuine.

Children

Organo is designed for parents and is not directed at children. Information about children is entered by a parent about their own family and kept on that parent's device. Apart from the first name, age and school year described above, it is never transmitted. If you believe a child has used Organo to give us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings → Your data → Delete my data. This erases every child, fact, event, rule, list, task, conversation and household detail from your device, clears your activity counts, and deletes your daily counts, subscription record and push tokens from our servers. It cannot be undone. Your App Store subscription is not cancelled; manage that in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app also removes everything stored on your phone.

Your rights

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under other laws, such as the GDPR, to access, correct, export or delete your information. Almost everything Organo holds is already on your device and visible in the app. For anything else, or to make a complaint, email support@codebracket.com.au. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is sent or kept, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
